Social Media and Events Marketing Intern

Position Type: Part-Time Internship (15–25 hours/week)

Location: On-site/Virtual - Cincinnati, OH

Reports To: Director, Service Operations

Summary

We’re looking for a creative, energetic, and organized Social Media and Events Marketing Intern to help grow our audience and build community through engaging content and unforgettable events. You’ll help shape the personality of the brand by creating original content, developing event ideas, capturing the energy of our venue, and using social media strategically to increase awareness and drive customers through the door.

If you’re the type of person who always has your phone out capturing moments, loves creating Reels and TikToks, understands what makes people stop scrolling, and enjoys bringing ideas to life, this is for you.


Responsibilities

Content Creation
  • Create engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Threads, YouTube Shorts, and other platforms
  • Film and edit short-form videos, reels, and stories
  • Take high-quality photos during events and throughout daily operations
  • Design graphics, promotional materials, and social media assets using Canva, Adobe Express, or similar tools
  • Write compelling captions that reflect our voice and encourage engagement
Event Development
  • Brainstorm new event concepts that attract existing and new customers
  • Research trends, holidays, pop culture, and community interests to inspire programming
  • Help coordinate promotional campaigns leading up to events
  • Collaborate with entertainers, DJs, performers, and staff to create marketable experiences
Event Coverage
  • Attend events to capture photos and video
  • Create live stories and behind-the-scenes content
  • Interview guests, performers, and staff when appropriate
  • Produce recap videos and highlight reels following events
Social Media Management
  • Build and maintain a content calendar.
  • Schedule posts using social media management tools
  • Monitor comments and messages when assigned
  • Track engagement and identify successful content
  • Recommend improvements based on analytics
Community Growth
  • Research local influencers and community organizations
  • Build partnerships that increase reach
  • Encourage user-generated content
  • Help grow followers into loyal customers
Marketing Support
  • Assist with email marketing campaigns
  • Maintain digital asset libraries
  • Keep branding consistent across all platforms
  • Stay current on emerging social media trends and platform updates
Qualifications

Preferred:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from Marketing, Communications, Media, Photography, Journalism, Graphic Design, or a related field.

Experience With:

  • Facebook
  • Instagram
  • TikTok
  • Canva, Adobe Express or similar
  • CapCut or equivalent video editing software
  • Microsoft Office

If you love creating, storytelling, and building community through social media, you’ll thrive in this role. help to craft the first impression individuals may have for Good Judy's or her sister organizations through the Media Arts as well as help to curate events for our community. In this role, growing and maturing the legacy brand is of the utmost importance while providing engaging content and opportunities, as well as documenting those opportunities through media, for everyone to experience and enjoy Good Judys.
