Good Judy’s Karaoke Party Rental Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply to karaoke party rentals at Good Judy’s, operated by Xenn Northside Holdco LLC (“Good Judy’s”). The person making the reservation is referred to as the “Renter.”
Our goal is to make every karaoke party enjoyable and easy to host. These terms explain what is included, how payment works, and what we ask of the Renter and their guests.
1. Reservation and Deposit
A $100.00 reservation deposit is due within twenty-four (24) hours after the party is scheduled.
The requested date and time will be held for up to 24 hours while payment is pending. If the deposit is not received within that period, Good Judy’s may release the date and time to another customer without further notice.
The deposit:
- Confirms the reservation once received;
- Is applied toward the $375.00 Minimum Spend; and
- Is nonrefundable.
2. Rental Period and Included Services
The karaoke party rental includes up to three (3) consecutive hours and includes:
- Reserved use of “Somewhere…”, Good Judy’s dance floor and karaoke area; and
- A Good Judy’s-designated DJ providing karaoke services.
The three-hour reservation period includes guest arrival, decorating or setup, the party itself, cleanup, and departure.
Arriving after the scheduled start time does not extend the reservation or change the Minimum Spend. The Renter and guests are asked to conclude the party and remove their belongings by the scheduled end time.
Good Judy’s will work with the Renter to support a fun and successful event while continuing to oversee the premises, alcohol service, safety, and regular Venue operations.
3. Attendance, Age, and Wristbands
The karaoke party is limited to a maximum of 25 attendees, including the Renter and any guests, entertainers, photographers, or vendors invited by the Renter. Good Judy’s employees and its designated DJ do not count toward this limit.
Good Judy’s is an 18-and-older venue. Every attendee must be at least 18 years old and may be required to present a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID before entering. Guests who cannot provide acceptable identification may not be admitted.
Good Judy’s will provide wristbands to:
- Identify guests who are part of the karaoke party; and
- Clearly distinguish attendees who are under 21 years of age.
Wristbands must be worn and remain visible throughout the party. Wristbands may not be removed, transferred, exchanged, altered, or shared. Guests must show their wristband when requested by Good Judy’s staff.
A party wristband does not authorize the purchase or consumption of alcohol. Alcohol will be served only to guests who are at least 21 years old, present acceptable identification, and comply with Good Judy’s alcohol-service policies.
The Renter is responsible for informing guests of the age, identification, capacity, and wristband requirements before the party. Good Judy’s may refuse admission, discontinue alcohol service, or ask a guest to leave if the guest:
- Is under 18;
- Cannot provide acceptable identification;
- Does not wear the required wristband;
- Alters, transfers, or shares a wristband;
- Attempts to obtain alcohol for someone under 21; or
- Otherwise fails to follow these requirements.
The 25-person capacity limit may not be exceeded. Additional or replacement guests may be admitted only if the number of attendees present remains at or below 25.
4. Minimum Spend
Each karaoke party has a $375.00 Minimum Spend. The $100.00 reservation deposit is included in and credited toward this amount.
The Minimum Spend includes the three-hour reservation, use of “Somewhere…,” and the designated DJ. It does not include tips, gratuities, sales tax, additional time, damage, excessive cleaning, approved add-ons, or other separately assessed charges.
For purposes of determining whether the Minimum Spend has been met, “Net Event Sales” means:
Gross payments received from transactions attributed to the event, less bartender and employee tips, other gratuities, and sales tax.
At the end of the party:
- The $100.00 deposit will be credited toward the Minimum Spend.
- If Net Event Sales and the deposit together equal or exceed $375.00, the Minimum Spend has been satisfied.
- If the total is less than $375.00, the Renter must pay the difference at the conclusion of the party.
The Renter is responsible for any remaining balance, regardless of anticipated attendance or the amount individual guests purchase.
5. Additional Time
The reservation is limited to three hours unless Good Judy’s approves additional time.
The standard hourly rental rate is $125.00. Additional time is charged at one and one-half times that rate, or $187.50 per hour.
Additional time will be billed in 30-minute increments at $93.75 per increment. Any portion of a 30-minute period will be charged as a full increment.
Additional time begins when the party, its guests, decorations, personal belongings, vendors, or activities continue beyond the scheduled end time. These charges are separate from and do not count toward the $375.00 Minimum Spend.
Extensions depend on space, staffing, operating hours, safety considerations, and DJ availability. Good Judy’s cannot guarantee that additional time will be available.
6. Payments and No-Refund Policy
All deposits and payments are final and nonrefundable.
Refunds or credits will not be provided for:
- Cancellation by the Renter;
- Reduced attendance or guest no-shows;
- Late arrival;
- Failure to use all or part of the reserved time;
- Weather or transportation concerns;
- Illness or scheduling conflicts; or
- Other circumstances outside Good Judy’s control.
If the Renter or guests do not attend, the deposit remains nonrefundable. Any additional advance payment made toward the Minimum Spend is also nonrefundable.
7. Cancellation and Rescheduling
Cancellation or rescheduling requests must be submitted to Good Judy’s in writing.
Good Judy’s will consider reasonable requests to move a party to another date, but rescheduling is not guaranteed and depends on availability. If rescheduling is approved:
- The original deposit remains nonrefundable;
- The deposit may be transferred to one approved replacement date;
- The replacement date may be subject to current pricing and terms; and
- An additional deposit may be required.
If a replacement date cannot be agreed upon, the reservation will be treated as a cancellation and all amounts already paid will remain nonrefundable.
8. Karaoke Services
Good Judy’s will provide the karaoke equipment and DJ services included in the booking. Song availability may vary by karaoke platform, licensing, and available versions.
The Renter and guests may not move, disconnect, modify, or operate Venue equipment without permission from the DJ or another Good Judy’s representative.
Good Judy’s may decline a song, performance, or activity that is unsafe, unlawful, excessively disruptive, discriminatory, threatening, or likely to interfere with the Venue or other guests.
Occasional technical interruptions can happen during live entertainment. Good Judy’s will make reasonable efforts to restore service promptly. A temporary interruption does not qualify for a refund. If a significant equipment issue within Good Judy’s control prevents karaoke from being provided for a substantial portion of the reservation, Good Judy’s may offer replacement time or a future credit at its discretion.
9. Alcohol, Food, and Outside Items
All beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) must be purchased from and served by Good Judy’s. Outside beverages are not permitted.
Good Judy’s may decline or discontinue alcohol service to any person when required by law or when staff believe continued service would be unsafe.
Outside food, cakes, decorations, vendors, or entertainment must receive advance approval from Good Judy’s. Additional requirements or charges may apply.
Decorations must be safe and must not damage walls, floors, fixtures, equipment, or furnishings. Confetti, glitter, open flames, and items requiring nails, screws, or permanent adhesives are not permitted unless Good Judy’s gives written approval.
10. Guests and Event Conduct
The Renter is responsible for communicating these terms to guests and for helping ensure that everyone associated with the party treats the Venue, its employees, and other guests respectfully.
Good Judy’s may ask an individual to leave, discontinue alcohol service, or end the party early when reasonably necessary because of:
- Fighting, threats, harassment, or discriminatory behavior;
- Excessive intoxication or unsafe conduct;
- Underage drinking;
- Illegal drug use or possession;
- Intentional or reckless property damage;
- Interference with employees, the DJ, or Venue operations;
- Unauthorized access to restricted areas; or
- Failure to follow reasonable instructions from Good Judy’s staff.
If the party must end early because of the conduct of the Renter or a guest, no refund or credit will be issued. The Renter will remain responsible for the Minimum Spend and any additional charges.
11. Damage and Cleaning
Normal cleanup is included. The Renter is responsible for damage, missing property, excessive cleaning, or extraordinary labor caused by the Renter, guests, vendors, or other individuals associated with the party.
If additional cleaning, repair, or replacement is necessary, Good Judy’s will provide the Renter with an explanation of the charges. These amounts are separate from the Minimum Spend and are due upon request.
12. Safety, Emergencies, and Venue Operations
Good Judy’s retains responsibility for the premises, employees, alcohol service, equipment, safety procedures, and Venue operations.
The Person-in-Charge (PIC) is the bartender on duty. In the event of an emergency, the PIC serves as the Emergency Commander and has authority to direct the Renter, guests, vendors, and other individuals in the Venue.
The PIC will remain in charge of the immediate emergency response until relieved by police, fire, emergency medical personnel, or another appropriate public safety official. The PIC’s emergency authority applies even when an owner, manager, or other Good Judy’s representative is present.
The Renter and guests agree to promptly follow instructions from the PIC and other Good Judy’s staff, particularly instructions involving:
- Emergency response or evacuation;
- Alcohol service;
- Safety and security;
- Occupancy limits;
- Access to restricted areas; and
- Continued Venue operations.
Good Judy’s may adjust access to an area, discontinue an activity, or modify the event when reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, or continued Venue operations.
13. Events Outside Good Judy’s Control
Good Judy’s may cancel, shorten, relocate, or modify a party when necessary because of an emergency, unsafe condition, government order, utility failure, severe weather, equipment failure, staffing emergency, or another circumstance beyond its reasonable control.
If Good Judy’s must cancel the party before it begins and cannot offer a reasonable replacement date, the Renter will receive a refund of amounts paid directly to Good Judy’s. This is the only exception to the no-refund policy.
Good Judy’s is not responsible for third-party expenses, travel costs, lost income, or other indirect losses related to a cancellation or change.
14. Responsibility for Claims and Losses
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Renter accepts responsibility for claims, damages, fines, expenses, or losses arising from:
- The conduct of the Renter or the Renter’s guests;
- Damage caused by anyone associated with the party;
- Unauthorized alcohol, food, decorations, vendors, or activities;
- A violation of these Terms and Conditions; or
- A violation of law by the Renter or a guest.
Nothing in this Agreement limits responsibility that cannot legally be limited under Ohio law.
15. Unpaid Balances
All balances are due at the conclusion of the party unless Good Judy’s agrees to different terms in writing.
The Renter is responsible for:
- Any Minimum Spend deficiency;
- Additional time;
- Approved add-ons;
- Damage or excessive cleaning; and
- Other charges authorized under this Agreement.
The Renter is also responsible for reasonable collection costs incurred by Good Judy’s to recover an unpaid balance, to the extent permitted by law.
16. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by Ohio law. Any legal action relating to the reservation or this Agreement must be brought in a court with jurisdiction in Hamilton County, Ohio.
17. Complete Agreement
These Terms and Conditions, the booking confirmation, and any written addendum make up the complete agreement between Good Judy’s and the Renter.
Changes must be approved by Good Judy’s in writing. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. A decision not to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive the right to enforce it later.
